Model P6010/P6010i Wideband Tuners

The P6010 is an advanced, miniature brick, RF-to-IF tuner covering the frequency range of 20 MHz to 6,000 MHz (6 GHz) with approximately 0.1 Hz tuning resolution. High performance is accomplished with the latest RF technologies and SDR techniques. Comprehensive VTF and sub-octave pre-selection, coupled with a robust triple balanced first mixer, provide superior performance in high density, high level signal environments.

A low phase noise LO synthesizer with less than 70 usec. switching (under 1 usec. in-band) provides ultra fast tuning. This flexible tuner has a selectable reconstituted IF center frequency of 70 MHz or 140 MHz with a selectable bandwidth of 20 MHz or 40 MHz.

The high speed 16-bit A/D digitizes a 140 MHz IF, followed by an FPGA, to realize DSP-based IF filters and NCO functions. The output from the DSP section is followed by a D/A, providing the reconstituted analog IF output. The P6010 features 60 dB of MGC and a variable attack/decay AGC mode. Remote control is via a USB 2.0 interface. The unit operates with a wide range of input voltage: 9-32 VDC, with a power consumption of under 10 watts. Operating temperature is –20 to +60°C. The milled Aluminum housing measures 3.0” x 6.0” x 0.75” and has optional customer-specified covers to customize mounting and cooling. All connectors are on one end.

The P6010i is configured for export.

In all respects, this wideband tuner is a robust, compact unit well suited for many tactical and strategic SIGINT applications.
